Why NRA Training?
The NRA was formed just after the Civil War ended and shooting studies showed that our soldiers needed more safety and accuracy training. The NRA created the first NRA training programs and range safety rules. NRA classes set the standard in firearms safety and have been improving upon that standard for 175+ years.

This NRA classes for beginners is great for young people (ages 8+) and anyone who is a little stressed about going to the live fire range for the first time. This class is available in Louisville & Wears Valley TN. Because we have an awesome female Instructor, we also offer comfortable LADIES ONLY NRA training options click here. We learn some of the NRA Basic Pistol Course firearms safety in our cozy log cabin, and build the skills of safe firearms handling using our simulator so you are more ready and confident for when you DO go to the live fire range for the first time. Parents must attend our firearms academy with minors (this includes a seat in the class). Ask about group discounts for home school groups of 6+

NEW NRA Class! Learn about rifle safety, different types of rifles, how they work, how to clean, safety, different rifle shooting positions, dominant eye work, proper handling, range rules, range safety and more! I try to keep NRA training interesting, and might even bring one or two specialty guns for you to handle! We do the firearms academy work at my shop, and then go off to a live fire range to qualify using .22LR rifles that are a pleasure to shoot! LADIES ONLY options click here. Ages 12+, minors must be accompanied by a paying adult.

The NRA Class for Basics of Pistol is the industry standard for firearms safety training and is also a prerequisite to many other training disciplines including: many firearms Instructor certifications, EMT training, Carry Permit Instructors, security guards, NRA Basic Pistol Course Instructor and more! LADIES ONLY classes click here. Youth age 12+ can attend with a paying parent. Learn the basics of pistol safety, different types of pistols, different types of action, ammunition, gun cleaning, sight alignment, sight picture, dominant eye test, stance, trigger control. There is a written test, and then it is off to the live-fire range for the live-fire qualification!

This non-firearm crime prevention NRA class was created in response to nationwide requests for crime prevention seminars, Refuse To Be A Victim NRA training teaches methods to avoid dangerous situations and prevent criminal confrontations. Our firearms academy participants will be presented with a variety of common sense crime prevention and personal safety strategies and devices that may be integrated into their personal, home, automobile, telephone, technological, and travel security.
